TagoreTech (Previously Known as Tagore Technology Inc.) is a leading innovator in wide bandgap semiconductor technology. Founded in 2011 by Dr. Amitava Das and Manish Shah, the company specializes in Gallium Nitride-on-Silicon (GaN-on-Si) solutions for Radio Frequency (RF) applications. Our mission is to create disruptive products and intellectual property (IP) that significantly improve the size, weight, and power density of end-system applications.
 
In its inception, TagoreTech focused on developing cutting-edge RF products. In 2016, the company started investing in developing IP and Product for High Voltage Power Management applications. The company’s head quarter is in Arlington Heights, Illinois, USA. In 2017, we established a design center in Kolkata, India, expanding our global reach and capabilities.
 
Our advanced proprietary technologies and devices significantly reduce complexity, size, weight, and power consumption, delivering superior power conversion efficiency compared to traditional silicon solutions. As a fabless semiconductor company, we partner with leading foundries and assembly houses to ensure high-quality and reliable product delivery.
 
In July 2024, the company spun off its RF business division as a separate entity, TagoreTech Inc, and sold its high voltage power management product portfolio and related IPs to GlobalFoundries.
 

Today, our R&D team is dedicated to developing innovative solutions leveraging wide bandgap technologies to address the RF design challenges of our customers and accelerate time-to-market for a wide range of applications, including military and public safety communications systems, radar, drones, jammers, and 5G cellular infrastructure.

Executive Management

Paul Hart brings more than 25 years of experience in the RF semiconductor field to TagoreTech, specializing in technology creation, product development and market adoption of cutting-edge RF solutions. Prior to joining Tagore, Paul served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Radio Power business at NXP Semiconductor. Before that, Paul spent 15 years with Motorola and Freescale Semiconductor, in various technical and marketing roles including Senior Vice President of RF Power. Mr. Hart earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science degree in microwaves and optoelectronics from University College London.

Manish Shah is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of TagoreTech Inc. As a CTO and Head of R&D, Manish is responsible for all engineering, product development, and applications support activities. With over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Manish brings a deep understanding of high-power RF frontend products, 650V GaN power devices with monolithically integrated driver and protection circuits, and cellular transceivers. His expertise extends to high power Milcomm & Public Safety communication systems, radar, drones, cellular infrastructure, and cellular radios. Prior to TagoreTech, Manish led design teams at Fujitsu, Motorola, and Freescale, where he played a pivotal role in developing 2G, 3G, and 4G cellular transceivers. Throughout his career, Manish has consistently pushed the boundaries of design and innovation. He holds 14 issued patents and many more pending. Manish holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from National Technological University and a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Klaus Buehring is Chief Marketing Officer at Tagore and has 25+ years of management experience. Klaus has held a range of senior positions including Executive Vice President Samsung Electronics and Senior Vice President Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR). Prior to that, Klaus was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the RF, Analog and Sensor Group at Freescale Semiconductor. While at Freescale he led the turnaround of the company’s billion-dollar Radio Products Division. Prior to Freescale, Klaus served as Vice President and General Manager of the Power Amplifier Division at Skyworks Solutions, and before that held the same position at Conexant Systems. Klaus started his career at Rockwell International in 1983 and held positions of increasing responsibility spanning key marketing and engineering roles. In 1995, Klaus was named Rockwell’s Engineer of the Year for his contribution to the development of GaAs HBT power amplifiers.

Oleg Khaykin
Chairman of the Board of Tagore

Oleg Khaykin is Chairman of the Board of Tagore. Oleg is also President and CEO of Viavi Solutions Milpitas CA and has also been appointed to the Viavi Board of Directors. Mr. Khaykin has more than 28 years of industry experience including senior advisor with Silver Lake Partners. Before that, Mr. Khaykin was President and CEO of International Rectifier from 2008 until its acquisition by Infineon AG in the January of 2015. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer of Amkor Technology and Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Conexant Systems. Earlier in his career he spent eight years with The Boston Consulting Group and prior to that, he was an engineer at Motorola. Mr. Khaykin holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with honors from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Andrew Kau
Partner of WRVI Capital

Andrew Kau is a Partner of WRVI Capital, a technology venture fund established in 2019 focused on accelerating the monetization and scaling of disruptive companies globally. He is also Managing Director, USA of Walden International where he focuses on emerging technologies. Andrew has over 21 years of venture capital experience. Andrew joined Walden International (WI) in 1994. Prior to WI, he was President of Chemical Technologies Ventures. He was also a management consultant at Strategic Planning Associates and Booz, Allen and Hamilton. Earlier in his career, Andrew was a research scientist at Systems Planning Corporation and a VLSI semiconductor engineer at IBM. Andrew holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
